About the Foundation

The Bui Huu Hung Foundation is a non-profit organisation established by art collectors from across Europe and the disciples of Bui Huu Hung, with the aim of honouring and advancing the Vietnamese lacquer painting craft.

Our Activities

The Foundation focuses on collecting, exhibiting, preserving, and analysing the art and archival materials of Vietnamese lacquer. Its objectives include enhancing public knowledge through research on art history and related topics, providing facilities, and supporting artists.

The Foundation’s projects include collaborative exhibitions, publications, sponsorships, and partnerships with cultural institutions worldwide, as well as support for emerging contemporary artists.

Our vision

The Bui Huu Hung Foundation serves as a platform for exchanging information regarding the works of Bui Huu Hung. It supports collectors by providing information on the artist and his works, including conservation, evaluation, and authentication.

The Foundation is dedicated to safeguarding and advancing the traditional lacquer craft by implementing continuous educational initiatives. It also hosts exhibitions, lectures, performances, and other activities, supported by the Bui Huu Hung Award.
